Abstract

The research explores the interconnection between political, social, and cultural developments in the Maghreb al-Aqsa (Morocco). It highlights the impact of Marinid rule stability and the patronage of scholars in shaping intellectual life.

The study addresses the research gap concerning this topic and focuses on the following problem:

*What were the manifestations of cultural flourishing in the Maghreb al-Aqsa during the Marinid era?*

*How did political and social transformations contribute to shaping the cultural scene during that period?*

The study hypothesizes that relative political stability, state sponsorship of science and scholars, along with interaction with the Mashriq (East) and al-Andalus, were the main factors that contributed to the flourishing of cultural life in the Maghreb al-Aqsa during the Marinid era.

**The significance of the research lies in:**

1. Revealing the political and social factors that fostered the cultural prosperity of the Marinid period.

2. Highlighting the role of rulers, scholars, and scientific centers in spreading knowledge.

3. Analyzing the impact of travels and migrations in enriching the cultural environment.

4. Evaluating the influence of educational institutions in consolidating thought and knowledge in the Maghreb al-Aqsa.
