Plagiarism Policy

The journal is committed to upholding academic integrity standards. Among its rules and regulations, scientific plagiarism is considered a violation and a breach of research ethics.
The journal employs the plagiarism detection system adopted by the University’s Center for Research and Consultation, which is an advanced tool to ensure the originality of all submitted manuscripts.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes:

  • Copying from another scholarly work without proper citation or acknowledgment of the source.

  • Submitting an entire research work as if it were new.

  • Translating a work into another language and claiming authorship without citing the translation source.

Acceptance Standards

  • The acceptable similarity index must be less than 30%.

  • Exceptions: titles and scientific terminology.

Detection Procedures

  • All submitted manuscripts are screened through the plagiarism detection system at the initial submission stage.

  • Authors receive a detailed report indicating the similarity percentage and matched sources.

  • Manuscripts exceeding the permitted similarity threshold will be rejected.

Citation Policy

Authors are required to:

  • Cite all sources used in accordance with the journal’s referencing guidelines.

  • Clearly mark verbatim quotations with proper quotation marks.

Penalties for Plagiarism

  • Before Publication:

    • The manuscript will be rejected and barred from publication.

    • The author’s affiliated institution will be notified.

    • The author will be prohibited from future publication in the journal.

  • After Publication:

    • The article will be retracted and prohibited from being republished in any other journal.

    • The author will be formally notified.

Right of Appeal for Authors

  • Authors may submit an appeal explaining any unintentional similarity in their manuscript.

  • In case of technical errors, authors may be allowed to revise and resubmit their work.

  • Ready-to-use templates in both Arabic and foreign languages are made available to authors.

Authors’ Responsibilities

  • Review and verify their manuscript carefully before submission.

  • Retain copies of their drafts to allow for revision in case any deficiencies are found after publication.

  • Notify the journal’s editorial board of any omissions or errors post-publication, whether additions or deletions.
